Love it or hate it, the Elf on the Shelf is back! I happen to love this cute tradition and think that it adds a little extra magic to this already fun season. You can keep it simple or you can create elaborate set ups, either way your children or grandchildren will be thrilled! Here are a few of my favorite ideas:

No one can hit a high note like an elf. From Picklehead Soup.

This adorable setup mimics the hit show “The Voice.”
Losing to an elf? Spiderman should be ashamed of himself. From Picklehead Soup.

This sac race will thrill any child and is easy to set up quickly.
Don't worry, his hat is actually a top-of-the-line elf helmet. From Picklehead Soup.

The Elf on the Shelf quickly transforms into a downhill skier with the addition of a two candy canes, a scarf and two popsicle sticks.
How cute are those tiny pancakes? From Home Stories A to Z.

Tiny elf sized pancakes are a fun way to start any day!
You can also make a little wrecking ball for a Miley elf. From A Small Snippet.

The children in my life especially love it when our elf is high up in the air…it seems extra magical! A little string and a toilet paper roll create the perfect elf sized swing.
That's just cold, elf. From Homes in Alaska.

If you have a Sesame Street fan in the house they will especially appreciate this setup with Cookie Monster looking on!
Little-known elf fact: They all participate in Movember. From A Small Snippet.
This one always makes me smile. If your children or grandchildren are small make sure to use a razor without a blade for this setup, and put your elf out of reach for safety.

Even Buzz is doomed against an elf. From Nelly Cole Photography.

A snowball fight with a few of your little one’s favorite characters will make their day!

This poor elf is caught in a shame spiral. From A Life Examined.

This elf scene is really easy to create but has a big impact!
I hope you are enjoying this holiday season with your friends and family! There are so many special traditions that can be implemented during this time, but the most important of all is simply spending time together. I will post again soon with some of my favorite events that are happening in the DFW Metroplex…there is so much to see and do! Have a blessed season and if you need anything please don’t hesitate to contact me!
Love,
Moira
